Do I crave an overwhelming torrent of scathing contempt? Eh, not really. Do I think these guys are completely worthless or beneath my time? Nah, they’ve got some skill, no doubt. This slam band is doing an okay job of delivering that familiar slam we all know and have heard countless times before. If you’re after nothing new—just brutal pig squeals, fast blast beats, guttural basslines, and filthy riffs—then this band will hit the spot for you. They certainly sound solid when they bring the slam, and they do the style justice, I’ll give them credit for that.
When it comes to pushing the envelope or offering anything particularly innovative or thought-provoking, though, don’t expect much. The first two tracks are textbook slam anthems—designed purely to be brutal and heavy, and they succeed on that front, largely thanks to their solid production. They’re not reinventing the wheel, but they get the job done.
That said, the final track does introduce some welcome variety, steering things toward a groovier direction and even incorporating clean vocals, which adds a nice change of pace. It’s a subtle departure from the standard slam formula and offers a refreshing break from the intensity of the earlier tracks.
All in all, the music here is decent. It might not blow you away or leave you with anything deeply memorable, but it’s enjoyable for what it is. Fans of slam will likely find something to appreciate, though don't expect to walk away thinking you've heard anything groundbreaking.
