You might need to suppress your love after hearing this by the numbers hardcore album from suppressor. The boys in Birmingham try to bring their own style of hardcore but come off copying their influences more than building off from them. And the said part is they didn't copy the sound very well. Mostly in the awkward song structures and the vocal performances. It felt like these guys still haven't gotten the hang of making a song flow very well in the transitions within the song. Don’t get me wrong, the guitars and drums sound good, but when they have to change to the next chorus/bridge/verus, they seem to have some difficulties. However, the guitars mixing sound great on here—metallic and nasty. Drums could be mixed better, but the playing when heard is very nice and interesting. They aren't afraid to use those cylinders. The bass seems to get lost in the mix a bit. And I'm a bit surprised with the fact there were 3 interludes on this 20-minute album. It felt like it distracted from the album. More than anything. One could have been cut all together, and I think it would have made for a tighter album.
