You think with an album called Blck Tar this album would be super sludgy. Prepared to be deceived because the scalp is bringing nothing but chaos and mayhem in the grooviest and smallest package ever. With only clocking in at 12 minutes, this new album from Scape is not fucking around. All the meat is there, and not a single filler is to be found here. Everything is perfectly crafted to fit into the overall experience of black tar. From the pummeling drums to the grimy guitars, to the mesmerizing bass to the howling vocals. These boys had no time to fuck around, and it shows. I don't know how they were able to get such a clean sounding but raw production, but hey, they were able to pull it off. Raw and unhinged, wrapped in a perfect little present.
