Some people might be charmed by the lust witch; others might be put to sleep by this witch. Let's get right into this. Overall, I felt this episode was boring, uninspiring, and stale. A lot of the song structures sound way too similar. It made it tough to stay focused because the songs seemed basic and not very interesting. Like the band sounds heavy, but it's also redundant in the style. Like the songs seemed predictable in their flow. As I was listening, there were a few moments of interesting playing, but nothing stood out for me and caught my attention. The songs just felt like they didn't go anywhere. Like they were just here. No flash or dazzle to them. The bass might have been the most impressive thing because you can hear it throughout the episode. The guitars are okay here and there, but just chuggy along in the same old fashion. The drums seemed to be lazy and empty. Like the drummer just had no passion in their drumming. Vocals are heavy and tough but really don’t showcase any other styles to it. The production on the EP was okay, but at times the bass was turned up too loud and kind of drowned out the rest of the band. Im hoping for some more variety from future releases from Lust Witch.
