This EP, *Killer Beef* by Enemy Mind, is a bit of a mess. It's "killer" in the sense that there are a lot of good ideas, but it's hard to enjoy the overall experience. Let me be clear: it feels like they threw a hundred different ideas into each song. There’s so much going on that it’s hard to keep track of what’s happening. While there are plenty of great riffs, drum patterns, and vocal parts, they all get cramped into one track, making it feel overstuffed.
The band plays well together and sounds tight for the most part, but the songs are so overloaded that it’s difficult to really appreciate any one element. It's like there’s a lot of meat, but not enough balance to make it a satisfying meal—just a bit too much. By the end of the EP, I couldn't tell if the band was being serious or just messing around. If they were going for a joke band vibe, that might explain why everything feels so crammed into the songs.
The production is decent, though the vocals sometimes get lost or are too fast to catch, making it hard to follow. Overall, it was tough to get through this one.
