Candy has flipping done it!!! This new York hardcore band has been able to perfect their unique style of hardcore by condensing everything they are good at and putting it on this tight little EP. Heavy riffs, experimental sounds, blasting drums, unhinged vocals, dirty bass tuning, and perfect run times—the boys have done a great job of fine-tuning their sound and giving the people they need, and that's tight, uncompromising candy! The EP just jumps right in by ripping your face off with the opening track “Flipping” with their heavy riffs, deep punchy drums with some nice drum rolls, deep rich bass playing low and hypnotic vocals, and a touch of DJ scrachting effects in the backend to make the song sound doper and very numetal/industrial. Then we move into “Tzu Breed,” which has more of an industrial sound infused with their style of hardcore. It feels like more erratic harms way with riffs that are heavy as fuck. Then they smootly transition into some cool synth parts while giving you some double kicks from the drums that are subtle and hard. Finally, a breakdown out of nowhere that sounds amazing. “Football” is more of a death metal style song that sounds pretty damn good, especially with how the riffs sound. The blast beats are clean, and they got more sick drum rolls. Short and amazing song with a destructive breakdown. “Endless” is more like a heavy punk song because the drums are tight and harder than ever. with some more groovy riffs that have some deep and sick tuning to them. "Punish,” the riffs are bouncy and dirty on this one. The drums are huge and have a deep sound to them. And they put some cool DJing in the song to mix things up a bit. It feels like a heavier version of hatebreed. Vocals have such a fire and anger to them. Tight and stylish breakdown with some killer riffs on top of the breakdown. Finally, we got "Stench,” with its slower and more menacing-sounding opening. That moves into some disgustingly heavy riffs and is so mesmerizing. Bass has a heavy groove to it and sounds dope with the heavy bass. This song is so goddamn heavy. The production and song arrangements on this episode are phenomenal, and just shoecase how freaking talented the band Candy is. It's crazy how with every relapse they get better and better, but at the same time, it's not surprising since this band is very meticulous about their sound and they never seem to want to put out supbar material.
