With this proper release, Scarab is back to deliver some heavier punches. They've refined their sound, trading in the wild, chaotic energy of their earlier work for a more controlled yet still intense aggression. What does this shift mean for the music? It translates into tighter, more precise drumming, sharper, more rigid guitar work, and a more straightforward approach to song structure. The songs are now leaner and better produced, giving them a polished, professional feel that was lacking in their demo. However, that raw, unpolished quality in the demo gave it a certain edge, a bit of grit that made it stand out.

This EP, while less rough around the edges, still delivers the hard-hitting energy fans crave. It's packed with pissed-off, aggressive hardcore that stays true to the genre. The vocalist is giving it everything he’s got, and there’s noticeable growth in his screaming technique, adding depth and power to the performance. The production on this release is significantly cleaner, providing a more refined sound, but with that comes a slight loss of the unbridled rawness that defined their earlier material.

In the end, though, this EP remains a solid effort. The band has evolved, gained a lot in terms of technical skill and production quality, but they haven’t lost their drive. While it may not have the same ferocity of their demo, it still packs a punch, delivering exactly what fans want: furious, pissed-off hardcore.
