BROKE in Korea Interview

The Story Behind Diazable Apparel: An Interview with Matthew Gamble

It all started at Oily Rag's first show, where I first encountered Matthew Gamble, the creative force behind Diazable Apparel. As I watched Matthew selling his unique Diazable merch, I couldn’t help but be intrigued by his bold designs and the vibe of the crowd surrounding his table. His presence at the event didn’t feel like a fleeting moment, though. Unlike many who make a quick appearance and vanish, Matthew stayed active, engaging with people and bringing a fresh energy to the scene.

That was when my curiosity really kicked in. What was this brand about? Who was Matthew Gamble, the person behind the designs? Was he running a legitimate business, or was this just another flashy trend with no substance behind it? The curiosity was eating at me, so I decided to reach out and have a conversation with him. I wanted to get the lowdown on his creative process, what Diazable stands for, and maybe even clear up the doubts about whether he was one of the many shady figures that sometimes crop up in the fashion world.

The answer I got was far from what I expected. Matthew turned out to be an open, genuine individual with a deep passion for design and a commitment to his craft. Far from operating a sweatshop, Matthew is dedicated to producing clothing with authenticity, creativity, and a personal touch. His journey wasn’t about mass production or chasing trends—it was about staying true to his roots, creating pieces that speak to his love for death metal, hardcore, and pop culture, and supporting local communities.

Through our interview, I learned that Diazable Apparel is far from just another clothing brand. It's a representation of Matthew's journey, blending his love for music and culture with his design skills. The brand is rooted in DIY values, with Matthew being actively involved in every step of the process, from design to production. It’s all about quality, care, and a genuine connection to the fans who wear his creations.

So, if you’ve ever wondered about Diazable Apparel, know that it’s a brand built on authenticity, creativity, and hard work—no sweatshops involved. The passion behind Diazable is palpable, and Matthew is far from just a designer—he’s a storyteller, using fashion as his medium to share his influences, interests, and personal experiences.
