It’s clear that the vocalist has some intense and powerful vocals, but for some inexplicable reason, the production team seems to have forgotten to turn them up in the mix. Every other element of this album sounds great—the drums, bass, and guitars all shine—but the vocals, both the main and backing, are barely audible. For example, in the opening track “Uncle Murder,” the music sounds nearly flawless, but the vocals are so low in the mix that they’re nearly impossible to hear.

Now, let’s talk about the positives—because there are many. The drumming on this album is stellar. The grooves are tight, the fills are clean and tasteful, and the drummer’s style really stands out. He brings his own unique flair to the record, making every track feel energetic and intense. The drum sound is crisp, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into ensuring it packs a punch without overshadowing the other instruments.

Speaking of the instruments, the guitars on this record are pristine. The sound is clean and crisp, as if the guitarist is right there in the room with you. The riffs span from heavy, hardcore-inspired chugs to groovy, death metal-like progressions that keep the energy high and the listener engaged. The guitar work is a standout, effortlessly shifting between styles to keep things fresh and exciting. 

The bass deserves a special mention as well. It’s perfectly mixed, and its presence can be felt on every track. It adds weight to the overall sound without overpowering the other elements. It’s easy to appreciate how well the bass fits into the overall composition, enhancing the groove of each track.

So, why do the vocals fall short? It's hard to say. The rest of the band sounds so tight, yet the vocals are buried beneath everything else. It’s as if they were an afterthought in the mixing process, which is a huge shame because the vocalist clearly has talent and potential. The best example of how the other instruments shine is on “Kaosbringer,” a track that’s instrumental, allowing you to hear the other members’ skills and how beautifully the mix is handled without the vocals distracting from the rest of the sound.

Overall, the album flows well, with a nice blend of hardcore and death metal elements throughout. The diversity of styles keeps things fresh, though at times, some songs sound a little too similar to each other, making the album feel somewhat redundant at points. This isn’t a major issue, but it’s worth noting. 

Saigan Terror is a band with great potential and a unique style. Their music is tight, energetic, and packed with great riffs and rhythms, but the poor vocal production is a serious misstep. If the vocals were more prominent and clear in the mix, this could be a truly fantastic release. Nonetheless, the band’s talent and style are undeniable—just a shame that the production choices don’t quite match up.
