Millennial-core—this band knows exactly what they’re doing. They are fully self-aware and play directly into their demographic with everything from their song titles to their lyrics and overall playing style. It’s like they’ve taken everything they learned growing up with bands like Dance Gavin Dance, The Fall of Troy, Chiodos, and others, and repackaged that post-hardcore sound into a fresh, updated version that still resonates with today’s listeners. Their lyrics, while often nonsensical, are delivered in a way that feels so self-aware that they don’t come off as cringy; instead, they’re fun, and you can tell everyone involved is just having a great time.

Musically, the guitars are definitely in that "weedly weedly" territory, but they manage to avoid crossing the line into overindulgence. It’s technical but still exciting, never losing that energy. The drumming is solid—nothing flashy, but it knows exactly what it needs to do to support the music. It’s tight, effective, and grooves where it needs to. The bass is one of the highlights of this album—it’s smooth, cool, and adds a layer of depth that elevates the sound. As for the unclean vocals, they’re impressive; the screams are controlled and never feel strained or overdone, which shows some serious vocal mastery. However, the clean vocals don’t always hit the mark. Sometimes they fall flat or sound a bit off, which can disrupt the flow of the song and take you out of the experience momentarily.

At the end of the day, this album is pure fun. It doesn’t break any new ground or offer anything revolutionary, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a love letter to the influences that shaped their sound, and for people like me—aging millennials who grew up with this style of music—it’s a nostalgic trip that feels just right. Nothing too heavy, just solid, enjoyable music that captures the essence of post-hardcore’s golden era with a modern twist.
