Wow, the debut from Ice Spice could be any further from her name; there is no spice, no life, and no charm on this debut. Her debut is one giant lackluster experience. She sounds like she doesn’t even want to be on this album. She has traded in her iconic drill style of rap for a more bland and monotone style on most of the album. It feels like all that fun energy she had before is all dried up, and she's just here spitting bars because she has too. The usual adlips or riots and being a baddie get used so much even though she doesn't seem hyped when saying it. The beats in this album are for the most part boring and uninspiring. Like the only fresh and interesting beat uses a Sean Paul sample. It's cool she repoins New York with that track, but the rest of the album feels deflated. Her bars are not doing any better than beats as well. It's not a bad album per se; it's just really boring and uninteresting. Nothing good grabbed my attention here, and nothing bad grabbed it either. Compared to here, this is a huge step down and can be easily forgotten about.
