“Conforto te quer morto” translates to “living comfortable and safe is the same as being dead,” and this episode definitely brings the life out of you with how fantastic it is. Declive is a Brazilian hardcore band, and this band is bringing the heavyness of xibalba and mixing it with the unique guitar styles of knocked loose. This band has a tight and heavy feel that's very impressive for a small band. The most noticeable part of this band is their drummer. He has taken that trashcan snare sound from Metallica's “Stanger” and made it sound menacing and good. You get some really dynamic and interesting drum fills and drum patterns from him that you can’t miss. His fast and slow playing help keep the band really tight. Then you have the guitars that have a crushing, dissonant sound to them that is never really heard in hardcore. It feels like the injected gojira style of guitar playing really gives their music a fresh feel to it. The vocals sound really good. He has a strong and hefty voice that really brings that raw feeling, especially since he is singing in his native language. Something about his vocals really kicks in a great way. He even switches up his style in a good way on the last track. However, I will say that on the first few tracks, his vocals were a little too high in the mix, so it really drowned out the other musicians. The bass did add a lot of weight to the songs, but there were times it felt like it got lost in the mix. The songs all have a mix of heavy, light, fast, and slow, so you get some slight variation in the song structures and pacing. A very good EP with some minor production issues that will satisfy anyone who is into heavy music.

Esta banda tem uma sensação firme e pesada que é muito impressionante para uma banda pequena. A parte mais notável desta banda é o baterista. Ele pegou aquele som de caixa de lixo de “Stanger” do Metallica e fez com que soasse ameaçador e bom. Você obtém dele alguns preenchimentos de bateria e padrões de bateria realmente dinâmicos e interessantes que você não pode perder. Sua execução rápida e lenta ajuda a manter a banda bem unida. Então você tem as guitarras que têm um som esmagador e dissonante que nunca é ouvido no hardcore. Parece que o estilo gojira injetado de tocar guitarra realmente dá à música um toque novo. Os vocais soam muito bons. Ele tem uma voz forte e robusta que realmente traz aquela sensação crua, principalmente por estar cantando em sua língua nativa. Algo em seus vocais realmente impressiona muito. Ele até muda seu estilo no bom sentido na última faixa. Porém, direi que nas primeiras faixas, seus vocais estavam um pouco altos na mixagem, então isso realmente abafou os outros músicos. O baixo adicionou muito peso às músicas, mas houve momentos em que parecia que ele se perdia na mixagem. Todas as músicas têm uma mistura de pesado, leve, rápido e lento, então você obtém uma ligeira variação nas estruturas e no ritmo da música. Um EP muito bom com alguns pequenos problemas de produção que irá satisfazer quem gosta de música pesada.
