Cosmic joke, either you get the punchline or you don’t with this band. From what I can gather on this demo, I can see a select few who will instantly love this band, and then other people will probably not understand the big hype behind them. They mix a variety of styles here on this demo, from punk, garage rock, pop punk, to simply punk. They play around a lot with their sound, and you can tell they are still figuring out their sound. The production on this demo is really loud at times, but when its good, it's very good. You can hear everything these guys are saying and doing. The vocals stand out for being so clear and surprisingly not screamed. He seems to be shouting and yelling more than anything, and it doesn't sound that bad. The drums are nicely miced and have some fun spice to them. The guitars at first are a bit bland, but as the EP progresses, they start to get more versatile. I feel this is a band, but give it some time. I think more people might get the cosmic joke, and we will all be in on the joke.
