Z.O.N.E. - Zero Option Nuclear Ending Review

If you ever wonder what a power trip would sound like with a touch of 90s grunge and aesthetics, look no further. This new york thrash band is doing thrash metal justice here while adding a little spice to their style to help them give them an edge. With odd distorted vocals and industrial elements laced throughout this episode, you get some interesting moments that help give their songs a unique feeling. Like using the rusty sound of metal scratching on surfaces or rain samples to help set a mood to this episode. The guitars are super thrash and yet also super heavy sounding. They have a good balance of aggression and speed here that's fun to listen to. The drums play in a dynamic way that might go unnoticed if you don't pay attention. The bass was somewhat hard, if not too noticeable, on this episode. The vocals have a crushing weight to them, but at times he does seem to sound a bit winded. If you're looking for a dark version of Power Trip, I think you'll be delighted with this destructive episode from Zone.
