I hope these are not their final words, because I think the band injustice can do better than this. What we got here is some of the books hardcore that really doesn't do much to stir up anything new or interesting. Yes, the beats are heavy and chuggy, but they feel too simple and uninspiring. Like they are trying too hard to be heavy and slow to make you want to throwdown in the pit, but really you just get a bit tired from the repetitive riffs. And then you have clean/unclean vocals that seem really unsure of themselves. He sounds like he doesn't have the confidence or is scared to really go in, and so it hinders the songs a bit. Speaking of vocals, the mixing of the gang vocals really doesn’t sound that great here. I feel bad for going straight into the negatives on this episode, but I wanted to save the good stuff for later. The drumming on this EP is not bad. The drummer is trying their best to put in some interesting/ddynamic drumming with the use of the hihats and china/cymbals. They really help to make the songs sound better. Back to the vocals, the deep, harsh gutturals are really good here. He sounds so confident and in charge. It feels like two different singers with the clean and nasty deep gutturals. This episode has a lot of misteps, but I think this band can pull together to make some hard-hitting and interesting songs in the future.
