The retaliation from the chisel is a strong attempt at an interesting album. Lots of Ramones and Sex Pistol influences here, but with a new-age garage rock vibe added to it. But there are just a few hiccups that through it off its path to glory. The first thing that was noticeable a problem (or artistic choice depending on who you talk to) was the vocals. They were really hard to hear throughout this album. A few tracks had the vocals mixed perfectly, but most were so buried that I felt like I had to push my headphones deeper to hear him. Even the gang vocals at Tikes were too quiet. The drums, for the most part, are simple and groovy at times. Just hard to hear. The guitars were either really fast and punky or really laid back. Almost the guitarist forgot he had to play. The bass is either heard or not. No middle ground on that. Like, I can see what they were trying to do here for a great album, but the mixing and mastering might be the only thing that really hindered this overall experience from the chisel. Also interesting choice to end the album

RATING: 7/10
