If this is a preview of this man's skills, I might have to skip the full release because this release has a lot of issues going on with it. Jus nbl is a Philadelphia-born and raised rapper who has been working on Bis Craft since 2018, and boy does he need to work more. I will say I think he is enthusiastic about his music (as any artist should be); however, his energy is so apparent that he is shouting most of the time, and it can be very off-putting. He has that golden retriever energy, so it feels like he is just shouting at me while rapping because he is so happy. He does tone it down a bit, like on the track “Changes,” and it's a very welcome change. However, you got the track "drift," where he is vocally unbearable to listen to because of his shouting and the horrible pitched auto tune he has here. Speaking of autotune, the production on this release ranges from decently mixed and good volume level to horribly loud and poorly mixed. The song “always” could have been an okay track if the bass wasn't kicking so hard. The same could be said about the song “Drift.”. The most well-crafted song “Change” does a good job of bringing out his good qualities, like his voice, and adding some interesting elements to the beat, like a mild saxophone in the background. Half of the features on this release do a good job of adding something to the project, like with Kastilano, or they are just horrible and need to be forgotten, like with SSS Sheem and Jermin. I will say some of his lyrics are run of the mill and can be a bit predictable, but he does talk about some interesting ideas, like on “City of Hate," about surviving out on the cold streets. At the end of the day, this is a simple preview of someone trying to make some music that is just simple and not very good. Lots of retooling and reworking needs to be made for just NBL to become more successful and, more importantly, taken seriously.
