The terrorizing heavy band hateforce is bringing some sludgy doomy metal that mixes things up at times but unfortunately falls victim to their own style at times. The band infuses thrash metal on “descending down," hardcore on “total violence,” and death metal elements on “hateful creator” with super sludgy heaviness and production to make the songs sound quite fresh and interesting, especially in the first half of the album. However, by the second half of the album, the band falls into a routine of sounding either repetitive or a derivative of other metal bands. The riffs and bass felt uninteresting; the vocals don't have much variation, and the drums are fast but sound so boring. I will say The band has some disgustingly sounding bass that is just crushing it. The tuning on this bass gives the band such a dense sound to it that sounds dope most of the time. Possibly the biggest highlight of the band. The band can add some good groove because at times the deep drums and tight guitar playing get so in sync it causes some dope groovy moments. The drums have a cool, deep sound to them and ply with the cymbals in a fun way that I wash was utilized more often. The vocals are really buried in the mix and could be turned up a bit, but the low vocals with his hard projection make the band sound more unique. The pacing of the songs at times can get really bogged down by the long runtimes, like on “Deformed.”. The production does help give the album a depressing atmosphere with adding police sirens and other nerve-wracking sound clips. The production on this album is tuned as low and heavy as possible. The band sounds good for the style they are playing. A good band that has some really strong and unique moments that unfortunately get lost in generic death metal tropes.
