I don’t dislike this material, but it’s clear this is still demo-level work. The vocals are extremely low in the mix and often hard to hear, particularly the backing vocals. You can tell the vocalist has power and a real bark, but the production doesn’t quite do him justice.
The riffs are undeniably heavy and in that beatdown style, though aside from the opening of track 2, few really stick in the mind. There are some standout moments—like the clever guitar pinches in the final song—that add a bit of flair, but overall the guitar work feels more functional than memorable.
The drums are probably the strongest element here. They hit hard, sound full, and give the tracks a sense of size and energy. The bass shows up sporadically, adding some weight here and there, but it could be more consistent.
Overall, the demo feels… okay. There are flashes of interesting ideas, but they rarely sustain attention across the entire song. That said, it’s their first demo, and there’s plenty of room to grow. If Demo 1 shows potential, I’m curious to see how they develop on Demo 2.
