Brat is here to bring more than social grace; they are here to bring some meaty ass riffs, blazing drumming, and some deep ass bass. The songs on this album are heavy and dense and have the right amount of bounce and groove on most tracks. The riffs sound so chunky and big that its very impressive what they are able to do here. From thrashy-like riffs to slow and chuggy-like riffs, they got it all and flaunted it. At times the riffs can be a bit generic but never enough to feel boring. The drumming is quite tight here and has great fills. The bass is helping make the riffs sound bolder and beefier in all the right ways. Sonically, this band will be ripping for sure. The only issue I would say is the vocals a bit. They have shown signs of improvement since the EP; however, her few words per song kind of get forgotten about because the rest of the band is just ripping so hard. I wish she would sing faster and more consistently. The album does sound really good with how it was mixed and made. It feels like a lot of care went into making it. I would say its a graceful debut from the little old band from Louisiana.
