The boys in Blink aren't just done with their big comeback. A year after the release of their big comeback with the classic line-up, we get some extra tracks that are nice to have but not necessarily needed. I think everyone will be happy when Tom, Mark, and Travis put anything out under the blink banner; whether it's good or bad, people will be just happy to have more. You are getting 8 extra tracks with this part 2 of their album, and you can kind of see why they didn't make the initial cut. They have some of that blink energy (along with boxcar racer and angels and airwaves flair as well) you love, but something seems to be lacking a bit in charm. It feels like the songs were made in a fun jam session then with full passion like on the original release. Either the vocals seem off, the lyrics seem lackluster, or instrumentally they feel a bit flat. Something on each track, minus the last track “Take Me In,” feels like something was off. Even though things feel off, the production on the songs sounds good and is still nice to listen to. Not the best material from them, but I think it was good to hold onto these songs a bit longer so people could really appreciate the other songs from the original drop even more. If you are hungry for more, you will enjoy this, but if you are a casual listener, I would say you aren’t missing too much.
