Sad. Sad. Sad. Failure doesn't just follow me here; it has set up shop in my head. The second album released in the same day by the acacia strain lives up to being the polar opposite of it’s brother album. It’s slow, haunting, eerie, and downright depressing with it’s atmosphere. The guys have really tapped into and captured the feelings of pain and depression vividly. Vincent's large vocals on these doom-inspired tracks. Kevin is bringing back his crazy drum style to show he can be versatile. To the boys, Devin and Mike, brining down sludgy and eerie guitar notes. To griffins drawn out deep bass. With production that sounds like they were making a soundtrack to a scary Nintendo game from the 80s, I think the guys nailed it. Most people will be bogged down by these song runtimes, but they are highly necessary to fully grasp the atmosphere these guys are creating. For me, this album is good.
