The new lords of New York hardcore have arrived, and you shall pay your respects to this tight and strong unit of called mindforce. This heavy, thrashy hardcore band is here to show you how life is in these streets with their sick riffs, snappy drums, and profound lyrics. The guitars on this album are outstanding and sharp with how fast and impressive they are. They are moving quite fast and don’t give up on how relentless they are. On the whole album, there was only one moment where the guitars felt a bit sloppy, but other than that, they were perfection. Next we have the vocals and content of this band. The lyrics are not pulling their punches by making you think about how tough life is and seeing what kind of person you are. They can really make you look within yourself and see how you are effecting your environment and the people around you, and vice versa. The unique and straight-forward vocals also really help these deep messages get to you because his vocal range is really impressive. This guy can hold a note well while yelling—not bad. A few times he did sound a bit too buired in the mix. The drumming on here is tight and fast. It easily can keep up with the gnarly riffs. The bass is keeping up and adding a good weight of heaviness to the songs to make everything heavy. The production on Herr is good most of the time. There are just a few times where the mixing was okay; some parts were a bit too low, but overall not a huge problem. All hail the new lords, mindforce!
