The sheer magnitude and creativity do not scratch the surface of what this new knocked-off album is doing here. The Kentucky heavy hitters are here to not only bring you some of the heaviest-sounding songs they created, but also some of the heaviest-emotional music of their career. Each song on here has a unique style and sound that will grab your attention, pull at your heart, and drag you into some of the darkest feelings you know with the atmosphere they create. Every song has parts that caught my attention because they played a weird-style riff or used some weird-style drumming. They add so much to each song, but in such a short runtime, it's quite inhuman how good they are at making music. The crushing guitars crush down on you so hard, but the clean production and unorthodox playing make you want to hear more. The drumming that pops so hard you can feel every hit as it courses through your earphones. The bass just wrecks your body with how deep it sounds. The rawest vocals in the game have been perfected to match all the intensity with this band. Also backing vocals that just come out of nowhere to shake things up at the right moment with their deep and demonic sounds. And both guest vocals are used well and play well into their sound. The ending track, Sit and Mourn, really shows what they are capable of doing when they pull back and become less heavy, which can really create a unique sound. It’s really hard for me to find anything wrong with this album.
