The mighty kitten is back, and they are breathing out some hot fore with this new album. The gals are hitting hard and burning things up with these ripping riffs. The album is filled with simple but hard rocking guitars. The mixing on them sounds great and has a large feel to them, making them sound like they are on fire. The bass is mixed in well, just like the album has a fire to them that just makes the tracks bang surprisingly. The drumming is really tight on here and can really pop. The vocals are split between clean and unclean vocals, and I have to say the clean vocals never had a fault with them. The harsh vocals at times felt a bit strained, but there are a good amount of times where they sound dope. The unclean vocals held this album back from being better, I felt. Also, the lyrics, as positive as they are, seem to be not the most creative. They seem straightforward and obvious. So they feel a bit uninspiring. Being around for 20+ years is a challenge in itself, but Kittie is proving they still have that fire in them for music, and it's burning bright on this new release.
