Inner peace might give some inner peace, others inner confusion. Inner Peace is a 5-piece hardcore punk band out of Indianapolis. Fast and chaotic is something these guys aren't bad at. At times, the chaotic sounds they demonstrate can be a bit messy, but for the most part, they make messy sound good and tight at times. The guitar playing is catchy, and the drums are blistering good. The bass is smooth and groovy throughout most songs. The mixing on the demo is good with the instruments, but at times the vocals get drowned out. The only thing that set me back was the vocals and the lyrics. The vocalist at times sounds amazing and full of life and then at times is tired or winded and can't bother to bring some more energy. Literally, I count help but notice the regular use of the n-word on this demo. Me being half-black myself, I'm not sure if I should care or not since these lyrics will be singing along at shows most honestly. I think he is a talented lyricist and vocalist, so I think he can do better than use words like that as filler. Overall, it was a fun and interesting demo. These guys have a lot of room to expand and hone their craft.
