A beautiful melding of emo, indie, and a dash of hardcore ethics is what you get with the band anxious on their album "Little Green House". From slow and melancholy riffs to aggressively hardcore-inspired riffs, this album will satisfy a lot of people's tastes. Like towards the end of the album, they knock it out of the park with three great bangers of songs that encompass their emo, indie, and hardcore roots. They really know how to utilize one of their strongest talents, which are the vocals. The vocals range from sweet innocent sounds to bursts of joyful angry shouts; they know how to draw you in. Also rounding out the vocal talents are guest vocals from Pat Flynn and Stella Branstool that are stunningly used at the right moments in this album. The production of the album is mixed fairly well and balances between the rock, acoustic, and spacey sounds nicely. It’s a solid album with only a few missteps in terms of some off guitars and loud guitars that wash out the vocals a few times. It’s a great album if you need to cheer yourself up.
